In 1954 Grace Kelly was offered this bag in 'To catch a thief' from Hitchcock and fell in love with it. At the time the bag was called 'Sac a depeches'. In 1956, the bag got its name when she used it as a shield to cover up her pregnant belly. The original bag that Grace Kelly wore can be seen at the Victoria and Albert museum in London
